The reconfigured Los Angeles Galaxy play their first competitive game of 2016 Wednesday.
The likes of Steven Gerrard, Robbie Keane, Ashley Cole and Giovanni dos Santos are expected to be in the lineup when the Galaxy take on Santos Laguna at the StubHub Center in Carson, Calif., in the first leg of their CONCACAF Champions League quarterfinal series.
The teams will meet again next week in Torreon, Mexico, for the decisive second leg, but each can gain an early advantage and position itself for a place in the semifinal by playing well in the first leg.
