Milan Lucic was an integral part of the Boston Bruins core that won the Stanley Cup Final in 2011.
His trade from Boston to the Los Angeles Kings last summer signaled the end of an era in Boston, though not necessarily a full-blown rebuild. Instead, Boston re-tooled and switched gears and now looks to find itself back in the Stanley Cup playoffs after missing out last spring.
But what exactly did they give up when Lucic was traded? The Boston Globe’s Amalie Benjamin examined just that on NESN’s “Big Bad Bruins Live.”
