LaFell played in 27 games over his two seasons in New England, catching 111 passes for 1,468 yards with seven receiving touchdowns. All seven of those scores came during the 2014 season, however, as the 29-year-old struggled through a rough 2015 campaign marked by injuries and several high-profile drops.
LaFell caught three passes for 6 yards in New England’s divisional-round win over the Kansas City Chiefs, then was not targeted during the AFC Championship Game, which the Patriots lost to the Denver Broncos. The Pats officially released him March 2.
