Cam Newton’s ‘Pharrell Hat’ Stole Show At Lakers-Cavaliers Game (Photo)

Say what you want about Cam Newton, but he knows how to get attention.

The Carolina Panthers quarterback is enjoying his offseason after an MVP season, and he was in Los Angeles on Thursday night to watch a big NBA matchup between the Los Angeles Lakers and Clevaland Cavaliers, which marked the final meeting between Kobe Bryant and LeBron James.

As has been the case in the past, it was Newton’s attire that stole the show. More specifically, it was Newton’s crazy-looking hat that had everyone talking Thursday night.

Newton’s hat quickly reminded just about everyone of that time rapper and music producer Pharrell wore a similar hat to the Grammys in 2014.

And of course, when they showed Newton on the video board, he dabbed.

Fortunately, Newton and his headgear were just a side attraction in a pretty entertaining basketball game, as the Cavs edged the Lakers 120-108 despite a 26-point effort from Bryant.
