Gillette Stadium reportedly was hopping with veteran free agents Wednesday.

The Patriots worked out former Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Buffalo Bills wide receiver Mike Williams and ex-New York Jets tight end Jeff Cumberland, sources told The Boston Globe’s Ben Volin. The Patriots also reportedly hosted quarterback Ricky Stanzi on Wednesday.

Williams, 28, was selected by the Buccaneers in the fourth round of the 2010 NFL Draft out of Syracuse. He spent the 2014 season with the Buffalo Bills. He has 223 career receptions for 3,089 yards and 26 touchdowns in five NFL seasons.

Williams had 65 receptions for 964 yards and 11 touchdowns as a rookie in 2010. He had 63 catches for 996 yards with nine scores in 2012. Greg Schiano, who is close with Patriots head coach Bill Belichick, coached Williams in 2012 and 2013.

The 6-foot-2, 212-pound wideout was out of the NFL in 2015.

Cumberland, 28, went undrafted out of Illinois in 2010. He has spent his entire career with the Jets, catching 86 passes for 1,119 yards and 10 touchdowns. The 6-foot-4, 260-pound tight end had five catches for 77 yards in 2015.

The Patriots reportedly agreed to sign tight end Clay Harbor on Wednesday night.
