New England Patriots fans already have been forced to exhibit patience this offseason, and now it seems they’re be forced to wait a little longer.

The New England Patriots have signed Buffalo Bills restricted free agent Chris Hogan to a three-year, $12 million offer sheet that’s “heavily-guaranteed,” NFL Media’s Ian Rapoport reported Friday. Hogan is signing the offer sheet, which will carry a $5.5 million dollar cap number in 2016, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

The Bills will have five days to match the offer sheet. If they decline, he’ll go to the Patriots without New England having to give up any compensation. The Bills, who have limited salary cap room, are not expected to match.

Hogan, 27, caught 36 passes for 450 yards with two touchdowns last season. The 6-foot-1, 220-pound receiver also recorded four tackles in 181 special teams snaps.
