Florida Golf Coast and Fairleigh Dickinson kick off the NCAA Tournament on Tuesday night with the first of four play-in games over two days. The FGCU Eagles enter the tournament with a 20-13 record, which is fitting given their only other entry into the tournament came in 2013, when they played Cinderella as a No. 15 seed and knocked off No. 2 Georgetown and No. 7 San Diego State en route to the Sweet 16.
Fairleigh Dickinson (18-14) represents the Northeast Conference and is making its first Tournament appearance since 2005. The Knights have yet to win a game in four previous Tournament appearances.
The winner earns the No. 16 seed in the East bracket and gets a date with No. 1 North Carolina.
