The 19th-ranked Duke Blue Devils survived their Atlantic Coast Conference Tournament opener Wednesday against the North Carolina State Wolfpack, but they likely will have to play a whole lot better against the fourth-seeded Notre Dame Fighting Irish in the quarterfinals.
The fifth-seeded Blue Devils lost out on a double bye in the tournament after their season-ending loss to the North Carolina Tar Heels, and that almost cost them before they escaped with a 92-89 victory over the Wolfpack. But things don’t get any easier with the Fighting Irish up next.
