Sunday’s all-day Atlantic Coast Conference party ends with an Elite Eight matchup between No. 1 seed North Carolina and No. 6 seed Notre Dame at Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia.
The Tar Heels demolished the Fighting Irish in the teams’ last meeting on their way to winning the ACC Tournament, but Notre Dame did get the best of UNC during the regular season. The Tar Heels have won each of their previous three tournament games by double digits entering Sunday, while the Fighting Irish have had to eke out wins against Michigan, Stephen F. Austin and Wisconsin to reach the Elite Eight.
The winner of Notre Dame-North Carolina faces the winner of No. 1 Virginia and No. 10 Syracuse in the Final Four on Saturday.
