If Holy Cross wants to continue its improbable run, the Crusaders will have to defy history and the odds Friday night.
The No. 16 Crusaders won their first NCAA Tournament game since 1953 in the Play-In Round, earning themselves a date with No. 1 Oregon. The Ducks, considered a legitimate national-title threat, come into the game as heavy favorites.
If Holy Cross is somehow is able to pull off the incredible upset — they’re 22-point underdogs — they’d become the first 16-seed to knock off a No. 1 team in NCAA Tournament history.
Tip-off from Spokane, Wash., is scheduled for 7:27 p.m. ET.
