Texas A&M has high hopes going into its first NCAA Tournament appearance since 2011.

The Aggies were awarded a No. 3 seed on Selection Sunday, which some might find surprising, especially with the likes of Kentucky garnering a No. 4 seed.

Texas A&M will look to prove it deserves such a high seed with a deep tourney run over the next few weeks, but the Aggies first will need to take care of business Friday in their first-round matchup with No. 14 seed University of Wisconsin-Green Bay.

Green Bay’s tournament berth is its first in 20 years. The Phoenix are no slouches, though. They won the Horizon League Tournament and enter Friday’s matchup having won eight of their last nine games.
