Cole Toner, Harvard, offensive tackle
6-foot-5, 306 pounds
Projected round: Fourth
Testing numbers: 5.24-second 40-yard dash, 1.75-second 10-yard split, 26.5-inch vertical jump, 8-foot, 7-inch broad jump, 4.59-second short shuttle, 7.88-second 3-cone drill, 24 bench reps at 225 pounds
Strengths: Toner has “adequate foot quickness” and “showed toughness to win as a run blocker and pass protector” at Harvard, according to NFL.com’s Lance Zierlein. Toner is slightly undersized at 306 pounds, but “fires off a heavy, well-timed punch,” according to Zierlein.
Weaknesses: Toner isn’t an elite athlete and looks good on tape but faced off against lesser FCS competition. He struggled at the Senior Bowl against top competition, according to Pro Football Focus. He only won on 31 percent of his 1-on-1 drills. He gave up three pressures and didn’t excel as a run blocker in team drills and allowed a sack and hurry in the Senior Bowl game.
Patriots fit: Toner has ideal size for a Patriots offensive tackle, but he doesn’t have the athleticism New England typically seeks.
