Testing numbers: 5.16-second 40-yard dash, 1.80-second 10-yard split, 30-inch vertical jump, 9-foot, 1-inch broad jump, 20 bench reps at 225 pounds
Strengths: Clark has ideal size and athleticism for a franchise left tackle. He allowed just two sacks in his final season at Texas Tech with two QB hits and 21 hurries, according to Pro Football Focus.
Weaknesses: Clark’s “pass protection fundamentals are non-existent,” according to Pro Football Focus. He has the athleticism to shine in the NFL but remains a project.
Patriots fit: Clark is a fit for the Patriots based on his testing numbers, checking every box other than with his bench press, which can be forgiven because of his massive 36 1/8-inch arms. He would be best suited to sit for a year, which he could do behind Nate Solder and Sebastian Vollmer in 2016.
