Abby Wambach has taken full responsibility for her DUI arrest.

The retired U.S. soccer star was arrested in Portland, Ore., at 2:20 a.m. local time Sunday and charged with misdemeanor DUI after having dinner at a friend’s house, Wambach said on Facebook. The 35-year-old former forward apologized to her fan later that day and said she would never make the mistake again.

With two Olympic gold medals, four World Cup appearances and a World Cup win in 2015, Wambach is one of the most decorated soccer players in U.S. history. Wambach’s 184 international goals are the most of any player, male or female.
