Brock Holt Returns To Red Sox Lineup Vs. Rays After Three-Game Absence

BOSTON — Brock Holt is back.

Holt sat for three games while Chris Young started in left field against left-handed pitching, but he will slide back into the No. 7 spot in the order Wednesday against Tampa Bay Rays right-hander Chris Archer. Christian Vazquez will handle the catching duties and bat eighth.

Rick Porcello will be on the mound for the Red Sox, and he’s coming off a quality start against the Toronto Blue Jays on April 15. Porcello threw 6 1/3 innings, allowing three runs on two hits with only one walk and eight strikeouts. He did, however, give up two home runs for his second straight start.
