Bryce Harper Makes MLB History On 100th Career Home Run With Nationals
Bryce Harper did it like he always does: With flair.
Harper slugged his 100th career home run Thursday in the Washington Nationals’ game against the Atlanta Braves. It was a towering grand slam off Julio Teheran that made Major League Baseball history.
The moment wasn’t without a hiccup, as Harper initially missed first base while trotting around the bases. The reigning National League MVP quickly realized his misstep, though, and he retreated to touch the bag before continuing his jog.
It’s crazy to think Harper, who also managed to break a light on the right field scoreboard panel with his historic homer, is just getting started in his fifth MLB season with the Nats.
