The Boston Celtics are back in the NBA playoffs with hopes of staying around a little longer.
The Celtics, who finished the season as the Eastern Conference’s No. 5 seed with a 48-34 record, will take on theĀ No. 4 seedĀ Atlanta Hawks in a first-round playoff matchup.
Atlanta is the favorite on paper and won three of its four games against Boston this season, but the Celtics enter the playoffs on a positive note after Wednesday’s huge comeback win over the Miami Heat.
This series will kick off at Philips Arena in Atlanta on Saturday night in a nationally-televised affair on ESPN. The Hawks will host Games 1Ā andĀ 2 and Games 5 and 7, if necessary, while TD Garden will be the site of Games 3 and 4 and Game 6, if necessary.
