The Boston Bruins’ season is on the line Saturday afternoon against the Ottawa Senators.

The Black and Gold played one of their best games of the season Thursday against the Detroit Red Wings in a 5-2 victory, tying Detroit with 93 points for the final playoff position in the Atlantic Division standings. But the Wings hold the regulation/overtime wins (ROW) tiebreaker, meaning if both teams win in regulation or overtime, Boston has to rely on a wild card berth.

But the Bruins only can control their own performance, so a performance like Thursday’s is all coach Claude Julien can ask for Saturday. He noted as much during his pregame media availability, stressing that his players “know what they have to do.”
