David Ortiz Off To Historic Start For Red Sox In Final Season Before Retiring


David Ortiz’s farewell season couldn’t have started much better at the plate.

The Boston Red Sox designated hitter has hit three home runs in the first seven games of his final Major League Baseball season. To put that into perspective, the last player 40 or older to hit three homers over such a stretch was Hank Aaron in 1974.
