David Price’s ‘Achilles’ Heel’ Comes Back To Haunt Boston Lefty Vs. Orioles

David Price’s Fenway Park debut with the Boston Red Sox didn’t go as planned.

The new Red Sox ace allowed five runs over five innings in Boston’s 9-7 loss to the Baltimore Orioles, and most of his troubles came in the third inning.

“Just execution there in that third inning,” Price said on NESN’s “Red Sox Final” after Boston’s loss. “That’s kind of been my Achilles’ heel having that one bad inning, and that’s all it takes in this game. It can be one bad pitch, and today it was just that one inning.”
