David Price is no stranger to being the top dog.
The 30-year-old left-hander was the first overall pick in the 2007 Major League Baseball First-Year Player Draft and has served as an ace on the Tampa Bay Rays, Detroit Tigers and Toronto Blue Jays.
Now, Price gets to show his stuff on the Boston Red Sox. Six days after getting the win in the Red Sox’s season opener, Boston’s new ace takes on the Baltimore Orioles on Monday in the team’s home opener at Fenway Park.
There’s a lot of pressure that comes with pitching for the home team at Fenway, but former Red Sox closer and Baseball Hall of Famer Dennis Eckersley believes Price is more than up to the challenge.
