Donald Trump hopes his friends in high places in Indiana will help him win the Republican presidential primary in the Hoosier State. Step forward Bobby Knight.

Knight, the legendary former coach of the University of Indiana’s men’s basketball team, endorsed Trump on Wednesday at a rally in Indianapolis, calling the Republican front-runner “the most prepared man in history to step in as president of the United States.”

Knight joins Dennis Rodman among Trump’s most prominent supporters from the basketball world.

Indiana voters will cast their votes Tuesday, and the support of Knight could drive many residents to Team Trump. After all, Knight, 75, coached Indiana from 1971 to 2000, winning three NCAA championships.

And if there’s one thing we know about Indiana: its residents love their basketball and coach Knight.
