Jackie Bradley Jr. ran his own version of the Boston Marathon on Monday to rob Troy Tulowitzki of a base hit.

With the Boston Red Sox leading the Toronto Blue Jays by a run in the seventh inning, Bradley sprinted no fewer than a dozen steps from his post in center field before laying out to snare a fly ball off the bat of the Toronto shortstop.

Patriots’ Day ended on a sour note for Bradley and the Sox, however, as the Blue Jays scored four runs in the eighth inning off Koji Uehara and Craig Kimbrel to leave Fenway Park with a 4-3 win.

Boston rallied for two runs in the bottom of the ninth to pull within one, but pinch hitter David Ortiz struck out looking with the potential tying run on first base to end the game.
