It looks like the Sacramento Kings might be getting a new logo to accompany their move into a new arena next season.
The reported new ‘do is a throwback from the team’s time in Cincinnati as the Royals, and it’s technically some type of basketball with a crown. Makes sense … except for the fact that it doesn’t look like that at all.

None of this is confirmed, of course, but something about this was fishy. We couldn’t quite figure out what exactly the “new” logo looked like, so we threw some things against the wall to see what would stick.

But ultimately, we figured it out. We now can say with unequivocal certainty that we know exactly what this new logo was modeled after:
Wilson, Tom Hanks’ volleyball friend from “Cast Away.”
I figured it out.

Nailed it.
OK, so we don’t have any type of confirmation that this logo is even real and we seriously doubt that it’s modeled after Wilson. Then again, considering superstar DeMarcus Cousins is trapped on a hopeless island the Kings, we wouldn’t be shocked if our theory is correct.
