Even without running, Meb Keflezighi felt the emotion of the 2016 Boston Marathon.
Keflezighi, who won the race in 2014, didn’t participate this year, as he’s training for this summer’s Olympics in Rio de Janeiro. He still attended Monday’s event as a fan, though, and the American-born runner tweeted a photo that perfectly summarizes what the Boston Marathon is all about.
The trio in the photo — identified by Boston.com (via their bib numbers) as Jim Driscoll, Ari Ofsevit and Mitch Kies — reportedly crossed the finish line in just over three hours, though it’s their teamwork in the face of adversity that’s truly inspiring.
