Nate Diaz, CM Punk Add To Internet’s Conor McGregor Retirement Chaos

Imagine being in Nate Diaz’s shoes.

As the world tries to wrap its head around whether Conor McGregor really is retiring, the Irishman’s scheduled opponent for UFC 200 dropped a perfect tweet Tuesday afternoon.

Nate Diaz’s tweet only added to the Internet confusion that began when McGregor tweeted earlier in the day that he “decided to retire young.” Diaz, who defeated McGregor in a shocking upset at UFC 196, is supposed to face the UFC featherweight champion in a rematch July 9 in Las Vegas.

It’s probably safe to assume Diaz’s tweet is a joke. Just like it’s probably safe to assume CM Punk isn’t retiring despite his own funny tweet.

What do you think?  Leave a comment.

Regardless of whether McGregor’s plan to retire is a hoax, a publicity stunt or the real deal, all eyes are on “The Notorious,” which usually is how it goes.
