The New England Patriots further increased their need for defensive tackle help in the 2016 NFL Draft.

The Patriots announced they released defensive tackles Chris Jones and Ishmaa’ily Kitchen on Friday. They released defensive tackle Dominique Easley on Wednesday.

The Patriots added Jones, who was drafted 198th overall in 2013, when he was cut by the Houston Texans as a rookie. The 25-year-old has 79 career tackles and nine sacks in two seasons. He spent all of 2015 on the Patriots’ PUP list.

The Patriots originally signed Kitchen on Dec. 16. He was cut Dec. 22 and re-signed Dec. 30.

The Patriots have Malcom Brown, Alan Branch, Terrrance Knighton, Markus Kuhn, Frank Kearse and Joe Vellano on their defensive tackle depth chart.
