The New England Patriots went back to the Alabama well for their top pick in the 2016 NFL Draft.

The Patriots selected Alabama cornerback Cyrus Jones 60th overall in the second round of the draft Friday night. Jones, who stands 5-foot-10 and 197 pounds, ran a 4.49-second 40-yard dash at the NFL Scouting Combine. His 6.71-second three-cone drill likely stood out to the Patriots, who highly value agility at cornerback.

Jones also is a top-tier punt returner. He returned 42 punts for 530 yards with four touchdowns in 2015. He had 37 tackles and two interceptions on defense, allowing 39 receptions on 68 targets for 497 yards with six touchdowns, according to Pro Football Focus.
