The Boston Red Sox started a new tradition in 2014 that they’ll carry on Monday.

Just as they did last season on Patriots’ Day, the Sox will wear special-made “Boston” home jerseys Monday when they host the Toronto Blue Jays in the annual Marathon Monday morning matinee.

The Red Sox wore the special jerseys in 2014 as part of a tribute to the victims of the 2013 Boston Marathon bombings, and it was decided the jerseys would become a new tradition. The club also wore the jerseys in the team’s first game back at Fenway Park following the 2013 bombings and the ensuing manhunt.
