It’s a headline that most sports fans probably never thought they’d read, but Abby Wambach is in trouble with the law.

The retired U.S. soccer star was arrested early Sunday in Portland, Ore., on a driving under the influence charge, per ESPN.com. Wambach was charged with misdemeanor DUI at 2:02 a.m. local time, according to the Multnomah County Sheriff’s Office.

Wambach was pulled over at 11:05 p.m. local time after failing to stop at a red light and was taken to Portland Central Precinct after failing a field sobriety test. She also failed a breath test at the precinct but soon was released after being “polite and cooperative” with police.

Wambach, 35, announced her retirement on Oct. 27, 2015, a few months after the United States women’s national team won the 2015 Women’s World Cup. Wambach has appeared in four World Cups, is a two-time Olympic gold medalist and leads all of men’s and women’s soccer in international goals scored with 184.
