Travis Shaw, Brock Holt Earn Way Into Red Sox’s Opening Day Starting Lineup

The Boston Red Sox open their 2016 campaign Tuesday with two surprising players in their starting lineup.

Both third baseman Travis Shaw and left fielder Brock Holt earned spots in the Red Sox’s starting lineup for opening day against the Cleveland Indians over Pablo Sandoval and Rusney Castillo, respectively. Sandoval and Castillo are the ones making the big bucks, but they will start the season on the bench.
