The Golden State Warriors’ quest for history still is alive, but there’s no longer any room for error.
The Warriors stand at 70-9 after losing two of their last four games. They need to win their final three contests to finish the season with 73 wins and pass the 1995-96 Chicago Bulls for the best record in NBA history.
The Warriors’ next test is a road matchup against the Memphis Grizzlies, who have lost eight of their last nine games while dealing with a rash of injuries but took Golden State to six games in the second round of last season’s playoffs.
