Roman Reigns’ dad clearly enjoyed this year’s WrestleMania more than last year’s version of the “Showcase of the Immortals.”
Reigns defeated Triple H in the main event Sunday night at WrestleMania 32 to become WWE World Heavyweight Champion. The result brought a mixed reaction from the crowd, with plenty of boos raining down at AT&T Stadium, but the victory proved was a special moment for Reigns’ father, who watched last year as Seth Rollins cashed in his Money in the Bank briefcase and pinned Reigns to win the title.
There were rumors circulating last year that Reigns’ father, WWE Hall of Famer Sika AnoaÊ»i, was ticked off that WrestleMania 31 ended with his son losing his main event match against Brock Lesnar when Rollins interfered and stole the gold. Those rumors might or might not be true, but there’s no denying the joy that Sika felt Sunday night in Texas when his son speared Triple H en route to a win.
