One of the biggest names on the UFC 198 card this weekend will no longer be participating.

Anderson Silva won’t fight his scheduled middleweight bout against Uriah Hall due to abdominal pain that doctors believe stems from a gall bladder issue, UFC officials confirmed to FOX Sports.

A physician examined Silva and diagnosed the fighter with cholecystitis, an inflammation of the gall bladder, after Silva experienced the pain. The condition could result in Silva going into surgery to have the organ removed.

“No decisions have been made as we are exploring the possibility of a new opponent for Hall,” UFC officials told FOX Sports on Tuesday.

Adding insult to injury: the fight was schedule to take place in Silva’s hometown of Curitiba, Brazil.

The fight was scheduled for the main card.
