Things just aren’t going Clay Buchholz’s way.
The Boston Red Sox’s pitcher put forth another poor performance on Thursday night, this time surrendering six earned runs on seven hits in just five innings of work in Boston’s 8-2 loss to the Colorado Rockies.
The outing raised his ERA to an atrocious 6.35, and his 40 earned runs allowed are the second-most in the American League.
Speaking with the media after the game, as seen on NESN’s “Red Sox Final,” Buchholz explained that he understands his spot in the rotation isn’t guaranteed from here on out.
