UPDATE (12:42 p.m. ET): David Ortiz has been scratched from the Boston Red Sox’s lineup for the finale of their three-game series with the Toronto Blue Jays. The team has yet to announce a reason for the designated hitter’s absence.

UPDATE (1:10Â p.m.):Â Ortiz is day to day with a foot injury, according to reporters in Toronto, the result of being hit by a pitch during Saturday’s 10-9 Red Sox loss.
ORIGINAL STORY: David Price will take the mound at Rogers Centre on Sunday for the first time since Game 1 of the 2015 American League Divisional Series. His goal: prevent his former team from finishing off a three-game sweep of his current one.
The Boston Red Sox dropped the first two games of their three-game set north of the border, losing to the Toronto Blue Jays 7-5 on Friday and 10-9 on Saturday. The latter was an especially devastating loss for Boston, as Toronto scored six runs over the final two innings to win in a walk-off.
Price, who joined the Blue Jays at last year’s trade deadline before signing with the Red Sox this past offseason, has won each of his last three starts, allowing a total of six earned runs over 21 innings. He’s also beaten the Jays once already this season, yielding two runs on six hits over seven innings at Fenway Park while walking none and striking out nine.
Opposing Price in Sunday’s series finale will be another  former Cy Young Award winner, knuckleballer R.A. Dickey. Dickey has been inconsistent for Toronto this season, allowing four earned runs or more in four of his 10 starts and completing seven innings just twice.
