Rafael Nadal, Who Typically Owns French Open, Withdraws With Wrist Injury

Rafael Nadal withdrew from the 2016 French Open on Friday because of a wrist injury.

The Spaniard has dominated at Roland Garros throughout his career, with a record nine singles titles. He won the first two rounds of this year’s tournament in straight sets before withdrawing.

Former French Open champ Roger Federer withdrew before the tournament with an injury, and his absence, combined with Nadal’s, gives Novak Djokovic and Andy Murray the best chance to win the tournament.
