Here’s A List Of Every 2016 NBA Draft Pick The Celtics Own — For Now

Danny Ainge has a busy month ahead of him.

There will be no shortage of decisions for the Boston Celtics’ president of basketball operations to make leading up to the 2016 NBA Draft on June 23.

Ainge and the Celtics learned Tuesday night they’ll select No. 3 overall at the draft by way of the Brooklyn Nets’ first-round pick, which they acquired in the trade that sent Paul Pierce and Kevin Garnett to Brooklyn.

That’s far from the only pick the Celtics have this year. All told, the Celtics have eight picks in next month’s draft. To put that in perspective, there are only 60 picks, meaning Boston owns roughly 13 percent of the selections. That includes three first-round picks and four of the top 31 selections.

Whether the Celtics make all of those picks remains unclear, but it’s probably safe to assume they’ll end up trading some of them, perhaps even that No. 3 selection.

We’ll cross that bridge when we get to it, though. In the meantime, here’s where all eight of Boston’s picks in the 2016 NBA Draft fall:

FIRST ROUND
No. 3 (from Brooklyn)
No. 16 (from Dallas)
No. 23 (own pick)

SECOND ROUND
No. 31 (from Philadelphia)
No. 35 (from Minnesota)
No. 45 (from Dallas)
No. 51 (from Miami)
No. 58 (from Cleveland)
