Ladies and gentlemen, we have ourselves a series.
The Toronto Raptors beat the Cleveland Cavaliers for the second straight game Monday, evening their Eastern Conference finals series at 2-2. Kyle Lowry scored 35 points for the Raptors and DeMar DeRozan dropped 32 in Toronto’s 105-99 win.
The Raptors made a lot of noise from the get-go and held a 57-41 lead at halftime, but the Cavs did everything they could to come back. Cleveland started the fourth quarter on an 8-0 run to cut the Raptors’ lead to 78-77 and continued to creep up, with Kyrie Irving pulling the Cavs within two points after a long 3-pointer with two minutes to go.
But backup center Bismack Biyombo had another great game in for the injured Jonas Valanciunas, picking grabbing 14 rebounds and helping stave off the Cavs in the final minutes.
The series now moves to Cleveland for Game 5 on Wednesday at 8:30 p.m. ET.
