Major League Baseball doesn’t take too kindly to punches to the face … as you might imagine.
MLB suspended Rougned Odor for eight games after the Texas Rangers second baseman punched Toronto Blue Jays outfielder Jose Bautista in the face during a game Sunday, according to MLB Network’s Jon Heyman.
Heyman also indicated Odor will appeal the suspension.
There’s still no word on any other fines or suspensions from Sunday’s melee, a game that included eight ejections and saw the benches clear twice.
