Portland Trail Blazers forward Adam Morrison Congratulations, Philadelphia 76ers. The ping pong balls bounced your way on lottery night, giving you the No. 1 pick in the 2016 NBA Draft.

Now comes the hard part.

Ben Simmons and BrandonĀ IngramĀ are the consensus top two players in the year’s draft, and the 76ers have the luxury to decide which player to pick. The Los Angeles Lakers also are in good position at No. 2.

But the Portland Trail Blazers were in the same situation in 2007. Who could go wrong with either Greg Oden or Kevin Durant? Well, the Trail Blazers, certainly did. Portland selected Oden over Durant with the No. 1 pick, which wasĀ one of the worst decisionsĀ in modern NBA draft history.

So no pressure, Philly. Doing well on lottery night is one thing, but making the right choice on draft night is a whole different story.
