At just 23 years old, Xander Bogaerts already is the cornerstone of the Boston Red Sox’s future.

Boston’s shortstop fell just short of both an All-Star Game appearance and a batting title last season, finishing second in the American League and third in baseball with 196 hits.

NESN’s Tom Caron and Hall of Famer discussed on “The Ultimate Red Sox Show” how Bogaerts’ patient approach at the plate has led to an experienced approach beyond his years and already is turning him into a star.
