The Boston Bruins made two selections Friday in the first round of the 2016 NHL Draft.

They took Boston University defenseman Charlie McAvoy at No. 14, and they picked center Trent Frederic at No. 29. The 29th pick was acquired from the San Jose Sharks in the Martin Jones trade last year.
