Could Barack Obama Own An NBA Franchise After His Presidency Ends?

President Barack Obama will have some extra time on his hands in a few months after his two-term run comes to a close. Perhaps then he can shift gears and focus on one of his other passions.

White House press secretary Josh Earnest recently told The Washington Post that Obama has “discussed” being part of an NBA franchise ownership group.

Obama’s love for basketball is well-documented, so it makes sense that he’s at least considering such an endeavor as his presidential tenure winds down.

It’s unclear which team Obama would like to get involved with if he decides to go that route, but he lives in Washington and has ties to Chicago. Maybe the Wizards or Bulls would tickle his fancy.
