Craig Kimbrel is all business when he takes the mound, staring down opposing batters from his signature hunched-over stance before unleashing one of the hardest fastballs in Major League Baseball.

But when he doesn’t have the ball in his hand, the Boston Red Sox closer can be quite the prankster, as he showed Tuesday night.

During a game against the Baltimore Orioles at Fenway Park, Kimbrel spent one of the early innings filling fellow Red Sox pitcher Eduardo Rodriguez’s hood with sunflower seeds. Rodriguez had no idea — much to the delight of both Kimbrel and the police officer seated behind him — and was greeted by a cascade of seeds once he finally pulled the hood over his head.

Kimbrel went on to pitch a perfect ninth inning later that night, striking out two of the three batters he faced, but the Red Sox fell 3-2 after going down in order in the home half of the ninth.
