Uncle Jesse is about to become a Brock star.

FOX recently announced that John Stamos will join the cast of “Scream Queens” for its second season. We’re not really sure what “Scream Queens” is all about — the Internet says it’s a comedy/horror show about a “college campus rattled by a series of murders” — but the announcement does come with a bit of a Boston Red Sox tie.

As part of the Stamos announcement, FOX revealed his character will be named Dr. Brock Holt. The release doesn’t say, however, whether Dr. Holt is an All-Star utility man like the Red Sox player of the same name.

Stamos’ character is billed as “the hospital’s brilliant, but secretive, head surgeon,” which is exactly what we’d peg the real Brock Holt to be if the whole baseball thing didn’t work out.

The second season of “Scream Queens” is set to premiere Sept. 20. Holt, meanwhile, returned to the diamond Monday night in a rehab assignment with the Pawtucket Red Sox. It was his first game action since May 18, as he’s missed the last month with a concussion.
