Green Monster Transformed From Duffy’s Cliff To Iconic Wall Over Years

The Green Monster is one of the most recognizable features at a venue in all of sports. But before hitters were putting dents on the famous wall at Fenway Park, the Green Monster looked quite different.

In fact, the wall wasn’t even green — it was adorned with advertising. And prior to the construction of the wall, left field at Fenway Park wasn’t famous for a wall — but for a hill in the playing field called Duffy’s Cliff.
