Hold The Ketchup? Jason Kipnis Flattens Enormous Hot Dog Race Ketchup Thing

Maybe Jason Kipnis is more of a mustard and relish kind of guy.

The Cleveland Indians infielder had himself a night Wednesday against the Texas Rangers, not only hitting a home run but also taking out an oversized bottle of ketchup.

During the nightly hot dog race at Progressive Field, Kipnis and the hot dog with ketchup crossed paths, and the professional athlete unsurprisingly came out on top over the random guy running around a field in an oversized ketchup costume.

That will teach that guy for, ahem, hot dogging it when in the lead.

Now, the Kipnis speed bump might have slowed down ketchup and allowed his competitors to, uh, catch up, but the big fella responded to the temporary adversity by still sprinting to the finish line and winning the race.

For Kipnis, this could be the continuation of some troubling behavior. Earlier this season, he viciously attacked the Tampa Bay Rays’ mascot in a disgusting 2-on-1 beatdown involving some pool noodles.
