Internet Jokes Fly Over NFL’s Twitter Hack, Roger Goodell’s Fake Death

Roger Goodell died. Then, he came back to life. Then, he died again before rising from the dead for a second time.

That’s the chain of events that played out Tuesday afternoon on social media, as the NFL’s official Twitter account was hacked by a jokester who “reported” the NFL’s commissioner’s demise.

Goodell isn’t really dead. He’s alive, well and presumably still plotting his next move against Tom Brady and the New England Patriots. But the Internet had a field day with the commish’s fake death and the whole hacking situation.

Here are some of the jokes that flew around Twitter amid the chaos. Spoiler: some are better than others.
