Jordan Spieth The Latest Athlete Trying To Make Stephen Curry’s Shoes Cool

Stephen Curry’s new shoes have taken a beating in the court of public opinion, and we’re not sure their latest endorser will help that cause.

Under Armour recently released the Curry Two Lows, which look like the shoes your dad would wear, not the Golden State Warriors guard and reigning NBA MVP. But golfer — and fellow Under Armour athlete — Jordan Spieth did his best to pump up the new kicks Sunday, posing with his caddie and two pairs of the new shoes ahead of the final round of the U.S. Open.

We respect Spieth’s effort here, but we’re not sure an endorsement from a golfer is the best for the “Chef Currys'” street cred.

Spieth isn’t the only athlete giving his vote of confidence for Curry’s new shoe, as New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady recently rocked them while watching Curry’s Warriors take on the Cleveland Cavaliers in the NBA Finals.

Again, having a 38-year-old and a golfer try to convince people your sneakers don’t look like old man shoes might not be the best strategy. But at least the two high-profile athletes each have a new pair of shoes.
